Lindsay Dixon
Lindsay Dixon has been a next-door neighbour and best friend to Addie Sinclair since they were three. The two of them used to do everything together: tap dance classes, soccer, swimming, pre-school, from kindergarten to high school.
A Make-Up Artist Extraordinaire
Lindsay is perky and cute but her exterior and interior do not match.
She is employed at Make-Up World at Parkland Mall, spending her weekends giving makeovers to teenagers. She is perfect for the job because she thinks that she is perfect. Lindsay’s motivation these days is to get a rock star as a Prom Date. She likes to think that she is being proactive by planning in advance. She doesn’t realize that most of the rock stars that she will encounter in her world will be in their early forties and reluctant at best to attend a prom as a Grad date with an eighteen year old. Any rock stars that do take her up on her offer are probably not the kind of person she really wants to go with anyway.
A Bad Friend
Lindsay is sneaky and manipulative. She is not a good friend to Addie and one wonders why Addie has put up with her for so many years. Lindsay is the completely opposite of the kind Sigge and Bernerd.
Lindsay’s crankiness may explain Addie’s irritability. Lindsay has also been influenced by her parents in their decision to not allow Lindsay to “play” with Addie anymore. They feel Addie is a terrible influence because of her parents’ drinking habits and so Lindsay buys into their belief and abandons Addie. The only time she wants anything to do with Addie is if Addie can provide her with something that she wants. As a result of being emotionally abandoned, Sigge fills the void with Addie and Lindsay gets snippy with Sigge out of jealousy.
Lindsay does not know that Addie talks to the “moon”. If she did know she would mock and ridicule Addie. She is awful. Well, so far, that is.
